I can't see through the muffler how can it flow?
The RFS 250 is designed for standard to mild ported motors. Motors that have out put up to 120 kW @ the wheels. The internal design is set up to deal with this amount of gas flow from a motor in this power range.
The ultimate exhaust system for a Rotary would be as unrestrictive as possible to allow the engine to expel the exhaust gasses as quickly as possible. We have done back to back dyno testing on vehicles with no exhaust fitted (the optimum system except for the noise) and the same vehicle with a full Rotaflo system. We recorded a power decrease of just 1 Kw but a noise decrease of more than 30 DBL.
These mufflers have been tried and tested in both race and street applications with amazing results.

The mufflers are glass packed, how does it last?
The high-density fiberglass packing is protected by a layer of stainless steel mesh. This prevents the hot exhaust gases from rotary engines destroying the fiberglass.
How do they sound?
Rotaflo mufflers sound like no other muffler on the market today. They have a deep powerful note, providing excellent sound control whilst still maintaining optimum power output.
Why does ROTAFLO sound so deep?
The mufflers are packed with a high density fibre glass. This enables the muffler to absorb high frequency notes leaving only deep sounding notes. That is why most stainless steel packed or standard glass packed mufflers make rotaries sound tinny.
Can I run a main muffler by itself?
All Rotaflo mufflers are designed to work in conjunction with resonators so we strongly recommend the use of our range of resonators. If a resonator is not used the muffler may not meet noise level requirements and may also reduce the effectiveness & life of the muffler.
